What a challenging year we have all experienced!!! Due to the mild winter, we were working on all cylinders. And then COVID hit our communities and all 4 clinics were closed for 2 months, re-opening in late May. Despite this pause, NNN resumed a full schedule with a dedicated staff who has adjusted to our “new normal” to make sure that your furry friend gets the best surgical care at a reasonable fee.

Did you know that NNN provides discounted spay-neuter-vaccination services to over 70 cat and dog rescues? This is so important because they are our partners in finding furr-ever homes for homeless cats and dogs throughout the region so that they are fixed and vaccinated before adoption.

Did you know that NNN supports local pet food banks so that people in crisis can keep their pets in heir homes and out of the shelter system? This year, despite a pause in services and more people out of work, NNN has provided FREE neutering services for 18 dogs and 22 cats.

And we cannot forget the thousands of community cats out there needing our help. NNN has been at the forefront of educating the public and our elected officials about the need to use Trap Neuter Return as a long term cat management program. Last year because of your continued generosity, 497 low cost vouchers were made available to community cat caretakers throughout our service areas.

Your support is appreciated as we work tirelessly to provide quality, affordable services and to assist our partners throughout the region. Our Board and Staff thanks you for your continued support over the last 12 years of service. As we have grown to provide services throughout northeastern PA, your support becomes even more critical.

We wish you the healthiest of Holiday Seasons with your family and your furry friends!

Sincerely,

Martha Kahan

Trap Neuter Return

On a bright sunny morning in September, a nurse who works to provide medical care for the homeless population, came through our clinic door in Allentown pulling behind her a home-made “drop trap” on wheels. It had been fashioned out of various scrap metal parts and inside peeking out were 4 cats. She had read about our efforts to help community cats through Trap Neuter Return and she suggested to her clients the need for them to get their cats fixed and vaccinated.

These men created a way to get their furry friends to NNN and the cats are living happily with their owners. The need to address the community cat population in a caring way is needed and many caretakers cannot afford the
fee to fix and vaccinate them. Without funding to support these caring folks, these cats go without basic care.
