Clinic details and Surgery instructions

No Nonsense Neutering

Our clinic is same day surgery by appointment. Cat appointments are between  8-9 AM. Dog appointments are  between 9-930 AM .Owners please leave your dog in the car while completing paperwork. Staff will inform you of a time for pickup  later in the day when your pet has recovered well enough to travel home. Post operative instructions, surgical information and vaccine records are provided at discharge. PLEASE keep this paperwork. NNN will provide copies of any paperwork for a $15 processing fee. NNN provides a post operative phone line to call with concerns after surgery.

Cash Payment expected at check in. No personal checks, debit  or credit cards.
NNN does not accept Friends of Animals vouchers.
NNN does not accept payment for fees through PAYPAL.

 

All healthy cats and dogs over 12 weeks old are eligible for surgery.

FEMALE dogs must wait 1 month after onset of heat cycle/bleeding.

PRE Operative Instructions

  • NO food after midnight before surgery. Water is fine.
  • Please provide kittens and puppies younger than 4 months old a small amount of food the morning of surgery.
  • Any health concerns should be related to the staff.
  • If your pet is up to date on shots, please bring the information with you. If you do  not provide a rabies CERTIFICATE,  a rabies vaccine will be administered.
  • CASH only.
  • Please pickup your pet promptly at the time assigned to you.

POST Operative Instructions

  • No running, jumping or any strenuous activity for the next 7-10 days.
  • E collars MUST be worn for 7-10 days after surgery. MOST complicatons after surgery are due to owners not keeping this collar on the dog and allowing dog to run freely.
  • All dogs must be leash walked for the next 7-10 days. Do NOT allow them to run freely.
  • Cats should remain in their carriers until the next morning after surgery and then be placed in a small confined area with litter and food for a week.
  • E collar is provided for female cats to be used if needed.
  • No baths for 10 days.
  • ALL female pets receive a small green tattoo on their abdomen to indicate that they have been spayed.
