We couldn't go to bed knowing that this guy was stuck up there so we needed to take action.  After no help from local fire depts or 911 we decided to call in some special friends to help us.  Would've rather caught the cat (either by hand or in the tarp) but we are glad he is safe and down from the tree.

Dec 10 2009

By making sure your pet can’t have puppies or kittens, you’ll have peace of mind that his or her offspring won’t be killed in an animal shelter.

Many people are surprised to learn that nationwide more than 3 million cats and dogs are killed in shelters. You might think that these are animals born in the streets or that there is something “wrong” with them. But often, they are offspring of cherished family pets, even purebreds. Maybe someone’s dog or cat got out just that one time or maybe the litter was intentional, but efforts to find enough good homes failed.
